Summary: A drabble from Janeway's POV

Why did he have to do it?
Because you couldn't.
Why did I order Voyager to fire on him?
Because he volilated a direct order.
Why did I have to order him not to do it?
Because it went against the prime directive.
Why didn't I find an alternative action?
Because you check everything and there wasn't an alternative.
Why did I have to demote him?
Because you love him and you don't want anyone to know this, most of all him.
Why does it hurt me so much?
Because you can't be Kathryn any more and comfort him.
