Born to Burn

It has been a slow burner for the Seven Network, but JAG now has a strong following.  It has also made star David James Elliott a pin-up around the world, and he is soon to feature in the film The Shink Is In, alongside Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

"It's unusual to become a hit in your fourth season, but hopefully, we'll have a long life," David says of his and the show's popularity with youngsters.  "Often, when you hit early, you can burn out fast."

And just what did David like watching on TV as a kid?

"I liked Combat and Dragnet.  I guess that shows my age."
